4th Quarter with seconds to go.......

Being this far along in the game-(the game being pregnancy) is kind of like the end of the 4th quarter with seconds to go. You know it's coming to and end, but when? Good question.... and one that EVERYONE seems to be asking. The doctor gives you a due date but the baby will come when my body says it is time. It was at this point with my pregnancy with Lucy that I had a brief inactivity at church... lasted only 3 weeks, but it was NICE. No questioning. No "oh my gosh you are huge." No," you haven't had that baby yet?" What I wanted to do was YELL from the pulpit on the 1st Sunday- you know when you are allowed to get up and say whatever you want. But I didn't. Graciously, every Sunday I answer everyone's question that I will have this baby and my due date isn't for a few more weeks... but no more people, NO MORE. From now until the baby comes- due to my fragile state- I will start messing with you, because sometimes I think you are messing with me. Yesterday, I told one couple that I am not due for 3 months and I am having octuplets. I laughed and walked away. More than anyone can imagine I want this baby here, but asking me incessently won't make it happen any sooner. No one more than me wants my body back, the ability to shave my legs without cutting off my air passageway, to paint my toenails, to tie my shoes, bend over and stretch my lower back, cross my legs, and look in the mirror without seeing myself looking like I am wearing football shoulder pads.
Seconds left in the game can feel like hours, days, years... but soon enough it will come to an end.

Fancy Shoe shoes....

My LoVe,
Remember this day? I do. Well, "yes" instead of "I do", but I do remember. I loved your new black suit (especially when it was lying on the floor that night), I loved your fancy black "yuppy" shoes that I found for such a great deal. I like the look of "new shoes," and yours don't look so new right now, so instead of complaining about how scuffed up your shoes look I bought you these.
I hope you like them. I do. Happy Valentines day my sweet love, I am glad that you were safe yesterday. I am sorry for the friends and co-workers that are gone. Thank you for being here. I still need you here with me, so does Lucy and your boy... Did I hear you clearly when we talked the other night? Did we make progress on deciding on what his name should be?
I love you.
P.S. can your black suit be on the floor tonight?

the 6th thing or something close....

Tags are annoying to me.
Although, that is not a very positive start to a post... to me it is factual. So imaging me saying it in a voice like Dwight. But, I went to my 6th folder and found my 6th picture, and guess what? It sucked. So, I went to the 8th folder and the 42nd picture and this is what I found. I think more people do this than like to fess up to! If you want to be "tagged" have at it baby! Ahhh love that face!!!!!!

And the list goes on

I have been preoccupied lately...
Yesterday, instead of the horrible wintry weather, we had a beautiful day of 65 degrees. I opened my windows. Ahhh the smell of fresh air filling up my old house felt so nice. I wore my rainbows. I made Lucy a vintage-ish skirt to wear to Church today in respect to the upcoming holiday. Valentine's day is special and I wanted her to feel special since next Sunday it will have already passed.
I went to the fabric store, came home and almost finished one of the things on my "nesting" list...

this little beauty hereI followed Kelly McCaleb's instructions

Tomorrow I will be on an airplane headed for
instead I should probably be doingbut I wont until I get back on Friday, and then I will be too busy trying to figure out how to pull together a fondue party so I have an excuse to get out my Chocolate Fountain in honor of V-Day. So, my list will have to wait until next next week, when no doubt I will have added a few things. Oh well.

Recovery...

We went to San Diego this past July and I took 100's of pictures... unfortunately, I don't know what has happened to them. But, when home in Phoenix for Christmas my Grandma had some on her computer that I copied onto my SD card. I know they are a little out-dated but I couldn't resist a few of my favorites!

Lucador-ita

This is what happens when my nephews get a hold of my Lucy... she turns into a Lucador(a)!
